October 2010 Poetry Readings

Glór - October 16th

The monthly Clare Three-Legged Stoot Poets reading takes place on Saturday 16th in Glór at 2.30pm and will run until 4.30pm.

In addition to the usual mix of live music from a locally-based musician and 'open mic' poetry, this month's guest poet is Tom McCarthy.

Tom McCarthy

Born in Edward St. Limerick in 1947, Tom McCarthy now resides across the Shannon in Co. Clare. Tom is a frequent reader at the Whitehouse Poetry Revival 'open mic' evenings. He has had 1 chap book published, in addition to a number of poems in Dominic Taylor's quarterly Revival Poetry Journal.
Tom is considered by many to be a narrative poet, and a lover of life in general, as well as a part time artist and song writer. He has released 1 peace song motivated by the killing of 2 children in the Warrington bombings (1993).

Live music will be provided by Galway-based musician, Gary O'Briain.
