Noel Harrington is from Tuamgraney, though he has since emigrated to Tulla. As an undergraduate he won NUI Maynooth's top award for poetry and he has gone on to be published in most of Ireland's leading literary journals, including The Stinging Fly, Southword, Revival, Crannóg and The Stony Thursday Book. A chapbook was published by Revival Press in 2007.

A noted reader of his work, he has read at many festivals and events across Ireland, as well as in the UK and Slovenia. He has also had some short fiction published and is 8 years into the writing of a novel with the working title Harrington's Folly.

As is the custom the open-mic reading will take place afterwards.
